Local 2324 Benevolent Fund 18th Annual Golf Tournament – The Brian J. Moran Memorial

On August 22, 2022, IBEW Local 2324 Member Brian J. Moran passed away at the age of 47.  Brother Brian was a great Union Member and friend to many.  He was also an ardent supporter of the IBEW Local 2324 Benevolent Fund Golf Tournament.  Please join us as we come together to remember Brother Brian and to raise funds for our 501(c)(3) Charity – The IBEW Local 2324 Benevolent Fund. Our 18th Annual Tournament will take place on Saturday May 2, 2026, at the Chicopee Country Club. Local 2324 is now accepting applications for the 2026 Scholarship Awards. Eligible applicants must have all of the required materials received Monday June 2, 2026 via US Mail at the Local Union Office. Ratification Results of Tentative Agreement between the Locals of the IBEW System Council T-6 and Verizon

Brothers and Sisters of IBEW Local 2324, I want to thank everyone who participated in the ratification process. 159 Members of Local 2324 cast ballots. 115 voted in favor and 44 voted to reject. 65% of this Membership cast ballots. Your vote is your voice. Outcomes are determined by our democratic process and your involvement cannot be understated. Again, thank you to all Members of Local 2324 for participating. Verizon Wireless Inside Hut Work Our Central Office Technicians will now do all of the work on VZW Transport equipment located in our Central Offices. Verizon Wireless SAP/TAP Work All technician work on VZW operational transport equipment in its Service Aggregation Point (SAP) and Transport Aggregation Point (TAP) sites will be performed by bargaining unit members. 14 NFO (VZB) positions will be created in NY/NE to perform this work. A tentative agreement with Verizon has been reached on a 4 year contract extension. Tentative Agreement with IBEW SCT-6 and Verizon

The Unions and Verizon have reached an agreement on a 4 year contract extension that would expire on August 3, 2030. The terms are being reduced into a Memorandum of Understanding format. Once that has been completed a summary will be made available. This extension will be subject to the ratification of the Memberships involved (IBEW SCT-6, IBEW 827, IBEW 2213, & CWA Districts 1 & 2-13).
